The Tile that Broke my Heart

After Way Too Many Samples, I Found The One. I finally decided on tile selections for the bathroom floor and shower walls. I was so happy to have found options that were beautiful, in-budget (!!), and durable for a midterm rental. I had gone to the store to look at the selections in person last weekend, and they had plenty in stock both in store and online.

I went back to purchase it, and there wasn’t any on the shelf. OK… no problem, I’ll just order it online and have it delivered directly to the unit. Ends up saving me the hassle of having to carry it back and forth anyway, right? Well. BOTH tile selections were out of stock online, too. I then went down the list of my “backup choices”. All of them were out of stock as well. I went to three other stores, and every time I decided on a new selection? You guessed it. Out of stock.

Like I always say, “As a rental host, you have to be able to roll with it.” It’s a common theme for a reason.

I’m so glad you found your way to this little corner of the hosting world. Here’s to better Midterm rentals (and finding the perfect tile).
